What a cute little book! Show your child how special and unique they are to you and to God and the world with this beautiful book. An easy to read chapter book, Ava's struggle will have your little one identifying with the main character's adventure.

Ava, a beautifully freckled young girl is bullied by her classmates for her "spots". It takes love and compassion for Ava to reach out to her tormentors when the tables are turned.

"Wow!" What a lesson for us all!

Favorite Adult Book

 Believe it or not, I've bought a new bible for myself!

My favorite book this month is my new NIV Archaeological Study Bible. I enjoy my NRSV study bible for most work but the pictures and notes in this new bible from Zondervan publishing is a must see! They are on sale in our Late Christmas Shopping Catalog available in the store this holiday season.

 Letter From the Editor:

The bible verse is one ready to take us in to the holiday season, one ready to take us into relationship, one ready to take us in to ministry, one designed to encourage us to be ready. Can you imagine the enormous curiousity of all that was taking place? Yes, just being awakened in the presence of an angel would have landed me in shock! I would have had a few doubts, checked my forehead for a raging fever, and probably even hidden my head back under the covers. Mary, even at a young age, absorbed the magnitude and submitted. Oh, how I pray for that ability, to be ready.

God sets our hearts in motion and our readiness to do His will allows the plan to unfold in our time. The grand plan using Mary was extra-ordinary, maybe I can be ready to serve on a smaller scale. Maybe this holiday will serve as a reminder in the busy-ness that just maybe it is about being ready. Ready for the Saviour to ask something of me, a gift, a smile, a moment, a good deed, a kind word, an offering of my time or my funds,a favor for a friend, an extra prayer...
